I was surprised by how fast videos transfer to my phone over WiFi. It’s way quicker than I expected, and it makes moving clips around really easy. I can definitely see myself using this feature all the time.

I needed to update the firmware on my Vantrue dash cam, so I went to vantrue.net expecting it to be a straightforward download-and-follow-the-steps kind of thing. The file was easy enough to find, but the instructions weren’t as clear as I hoped, and I ended up reading through them a couple of times to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.

It did work in the end, so I can’t complain too much, but the process felt more complicated than I expected for a firmware update. A cleaner download page and simpler instructions would make the whole thing feel a lot smoother.

The camera works fine, honestly. I’ve used it a few times and it does what it’s supposed to do, so no major complaints there. But then I think about the price and I’m like, hmm, I kind of expected a bit more. The quality isn’t bad, and setup was okay too, but overall it just feels a little expensive for what you’re getting...

I bought this expecting clear footage, but... yeah, it’s not quite there. The video looks kind of grainy, especially at night. During the day it’s okay-ish, but even then, reading license plates is tough unless the car is really close. I was hoping for better overall

I bought a Vantrue cam from Vantrue, the video quality is good. I’m a bit picky about dash cams because I mostly want something I can set up and forget about, so I was happy with the footage at first.

The problem is the impact detection. Even on the low setting, it keeps locking clips for every little thing, like small bumps, closing the car door, or driving on rough roads. Because of that, my memory card ends up full of “events” that really aren’t events at all.

I checked the support pages, but they didn’t really help much since they mostly point back to the same settings I already tried. I still use the camera, but this one issue bugs me enough that I can’t rate it higher

I bought my Vantrue dash cam from Vantrue, the loop recording has been rock solid so far. Once the memory card fills up, it just starts recording over the older clips like it’s supposed to, with no mysterious gaps, glitches, or little moments of chaos. I’ve checked the files a few times just to be sure, and everything was right where it should be. Happy with it overall — it does exactly what I needed without turning it into some big dramatic project

The front camera is decent, but the interior camera was a letdown for me. I felt kind of pressured to get a better setup at this price point, so I expected the inside footage to be much clearer. At night it gets grainy, and faces are hard to make out unless the lighting is just right. Setup was easy enough, but I’m not really happy with the interior video quality.

I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting much from the Vantrue cam at night, but it’s been better than I thought. Street lights and license plates usually come through clearly, which is mainly what I needed it for. On really dark roads it can still get a little grainy, so it’s not some perfect miracle camera, but setup was painless and overall I can’t really complain.

I got my Vantrue dash cam mainly because I was tired of dealing with shaky mounts, and this one does stay put well. It sticks firmly to the windshield and doesn’t wobble much, even when I’m driving on rougher roads.

That said, I felt a little misled by how solid it was made to sound. After one really hot day, I still had to adjust it, which wasn’t a huge deal, but I was expecting it to be more of a set-it-and-forget-it type of mount.

It never fell off or anything, and overall it’s definitely better than my last one. I’m giving it 4 stars because it feels solid, just not quite as perfect as I thought it would be.

I was really hoping the rear camera would be better, but it gets blurry at night. During the day it’s okay, but once it’s dark, the quality just isn’t what I expected. i’m starting to feel a little buyer’s remorse over this

I’ve left it in my car on some really hot days, and it’s still been working just fine. No issues so far

The video looks fine, no real complants there, but the audio is kinda muffled and it picks up a lot of road noise. It’s not awful or anything, jsut average overall

I’ve been impressed with the parking mode so far. It actually kicks in every time the car is parked, even for little things like someone walking close by or movement near the bumper. Nice to have that extra bit of peace of mind

I was actually able to set this up myself quickly, which made me feel like I must have done something right. There was one step that confused me for a minute, but once I figured it out, the rest was easy enough. Overall, I’d say it’s straightforward, right?

Setup was straightforward overall, but the motion detection has been a bit hit or miss for me. Sometimes it picks up cars driving by (even when I don’t really need it to), and other times it misses people walking fairly close to the camera. It’s not awful, but it definitely feels like it could use some tweaking.

The app paired with my phone quickly, and I haven’t had any issues with it so far. Super easy to get going

I mean, the GPS tracking has been really accurate for me. Like, it pretty much shows the location right where it should be, so yeah, no complaints there.

I picked up the Vantrue cam and overall it works fine once it’s set up, but it was way pickier with memory cards than I expected. I tried two cards I already had that worked without issue in other dash cams, but this one just wouldn’t record properly with them. I ended up having to buy a different card to get it working right. The camera itself is okay, but compared to some competitors, the card compatibility feels less straightforward. I just wish they made that clearer before buying because it was a bit frustrating.

I ordered from vantrue.net and the shipping was faster than I expected!! The tracking worked just fine the whole way. The box did have a small dent when it arrived, but thankfully the item inside was totally okay

I’ve had my vantrue dashcam for a little over two years now, and reading between the lines, that’s usually when cheaper gadgets start showing their issues. But this one’s still recording just fine and has been reliable for everyday driving. The app can be a bit slow here and there, which is mildly annoying, but overall I’ve been happy with it.
